Cllr Chris Williams - Demanding Better for Faversham
Chris Williams grew up in the Millfield area of Faversham and went to school at St Mary’s primary and The Abbey School. He has lived in Faversham since and currently lives in the centre of town. Chris has always had a great interest in local issues and loves being part of the community. Chris believes that, although Faversham has shown great things with community working together, there is always more that can be done.
Chris went to the University of Greenwich studying Horticulture which has shaped his career since, including working at Brogdale for many years and now running his own business, Edibleculture, based in Faversham. Education, environmental issues and the supporting of local businesses has always been an integral part of his working life and business. Chris is Vice Chairman and a founding member of the Faversham Traders Association.
Why is Chris a Lib Dem campaigner?
Chris joined the Lib Dems because he believes they are the only party listening to local people and giving them a voice, he is passionate about improving the environment where people live, including air quality, speeding and littering. Chris wants to give younger people a voice and campaign for good quality local jobs, services and leisure and genuinely affordable housing for families and the infrastructure that is needed to build a community.
Cllr Chris Williams was elected to Faversham Town Council in May 2019 as one of the Abbey ward members.
